Ideal Women Type in Korea

Traditional ideal women type in Korea was wise mother and good wife. Present ideal type is added a great worker to it. People call it ‘Alpha girl’ who is good at all: making good performance in work, caring family well at home. However, it is very difficult. Even though a woman has great ability to do all position very well, she also has 24 hours. In limited time, a woman could not do everything.

Some women against that ideal type. They insist men and women have to divide work at home. Women’s voice become louder with increasing her economic ability. However, these women’s challenge bring other symptom. Parts of Korean males felt these change uncomfortable, they brought up disliking women climate. It is a serious level, ‘the age of hatred women’.
In internet, hostile males drive that Korean women have no thinking and opinion. They insist Korean girls have interests on loosing their weights, putting on make up, dressing up and doing cosmetic surgery. External care should be the purpose to marry rich guys. They provide evidences of their claims by borrowing foreigner’s sight.
First, Korean girls are extravagant. Some foreigners felt strange that Korean women have too many luxurious goods. Compare to Korean younger women’s economic status, luxury goods are too expensive. How a university student can buy that expensive things without working? They predict many Korean girls depend on boy friends or parents. In fact, Korean couples sometimes quarrel with this problem. A girl believes that her boyfriend does not love her if he does not buy a bag present.
Next, Korean girls are easy. A book, the Global Study, write that Korean women enjoy “one-night”. They said, “If you plan to visit Korea, go Hongdai. There are many easy women who like foreign men.” Many people believe that to be true including Korean guys.
Above these, hostile guys’ prejudices are a lot. They seem to believe that indeed. I was upset when I read and hear about their biases. However, I understand why they believe their wrong sight continuously. Actually, most  Korean women care external appearance too much. The reason is Korean climate which regards appearance very important. Koreans sometimes ignore men with poor looking. It is also common that people ridicule ugly women. Ugly external but beautiful inner women easily experience difficult to many occasions. Many men are unkind to them. ‘Care your inner beauty. It is the most important’ is a vacant word in Korea. This climate makes all Korean women care their external beauty. No man wants his woman ugly. These logics are very weird. Why they stared to attack Korean girls?
They hate that women had own opinions. Either dislike that women like rich or foreign guy. It makes their self-esteem low.

In summary, their desired woman are beautiful and tractable.       
What women will do in this situation? Women have own standard for ideal type. The society and men continuously make ideal women type and force it by media, journals and so on. Women should not follow the standard to be made by others. First, women know social desirability for women. Second, women review why they aware other’s comments like these: “Women must care about their external beauty:, ”Women have to say softly“. ”Women behave with warm heart.“.
Authentic ideal type of women are who have own standard for life.
